Mr. Atchison has over 25 years of experience as a financial advisor and investment banker to the healthcare industry. He has provided advisory and transaction management services for the sale, acquisition or merger of more than 50 hospitals, nursing homes, managed care companies and physician practices, with a market value in excess of $2 billion. His capital finance background includes more than 100 separate hospital and healthcare system financings, totaling over $3 billion.

Mr. Atchison developed several innovative financial services for healthcare clients, including merger and acquisition advisory services, a capital allocation model for integrated healthcare systems and an investment management program.

Mr. Atchison first worked for Ponder & Co. from 1978 to 1981. Then he became an investment banker for 18 years with John Nuveen & Co. and Lehman Brothers. He returned to Ponder & Co. in 1999.

Since 1988, Mr. Atchison has held a position on the Board of Trustees of Elmhurst Memorial Health System, currently serving as Vice Chairman. He holds a bachelor's degree from Illinois State University and a J.D. degree from Southern Illinois University School of Law.
