Mr. Waugh provides merger and acquisition advisory services to the healthcare services industry. With more than 25 years of experience in analytical, research, advisory and transaction services, he has served multi-hospital systems, individual hospitals and specialty facilities through his investment banking and advisory work.

Mr. Waugh focuses on the financial performance, credit characteristics, valuation, market situation and debt capacity of firms in the healthcare services industry. His work includes transaction execution, valuation advisory, and strategic options assessment.

Prior to joining Ponder & Co. in 2000, he was a vice president in the healthcare investment banking group of U.S. Bancorp Piper Jaffray and prior to that with John Nuveen & Co.. Before starting his investment banking work, Mr. Waugh served as an analyst with the Bureau of the Budget of the State of Illinois. He holds a Bachelors degree from the University of Wisconsin and a MBA degree from the University of Chicago.
